This work honors the Quetzal, a beautiful emblematic bird of Central America, greatly revered by pre-Hispanic cultures, including the great tlatoani Moctezuma, who used its feathers in ceremonial attire as a symbol of prestige and power. Its bright green and red plumage symbolizes freedom and beauty.
