Description
It took me time to finish this artwork, I had to plan and design each character, propose a color palette and create an aesthetic composition based on an idea that was only in my head.
This artwork deals with the inner dialogues that we all have with ourselves during our lives, the
reflections about our experiences.
The artwork is full of Mexican symbolism: Tezcatlipoca is in the center with a quetzal bird, jaguar knight, many of the characters are inspired by pre-Hispanic masks such as the Malinaltepec mask, as well as traditions such as the dancing old men who represent the wisdom accumulated over the years. Monarch butterflies, oranges and cempasúchil flowers adorn the surroundings. Each face has an expression that represents a state of mind.
